invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice that appeared in UN Development Business No. 607 of 31 May 2003. The Government of Azerbaijan has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Greater Baku Water Supply Rehabilitation Project, and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments for Installation of GRP Pipeline (Contract No. 13M 70). The AZERSU Joint-Stock Company invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the installation and testing of a GRP 1200? pipeline supplied by others, and associated civil works. The

pipeline will run from Masazir to Balajari, on the northern edge of Baku, a distance of approximately 9.5 km. Some technical instruction/supervision in GRP pipe laying will be provided by the pipe supplier. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD loans and IDA Credits, January 1995 (revised January and August 1996, September 1997 and January 1999), and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address below from 1000 until 1800 hours (local time). A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 150, or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency, for each set.
